Gassed - John singer Sargent
Love Sargent's WW1 paintings, this one is special because my granfather was gassed and taken prisoner
He is the master of silence and I love the mystery he finds in everyday things.
So loose and fresh, Monet working quickly with spectacular effect, It looks like he did this without stopping once.
Edward Seago , a watercolour master who liked big open views and never overworked anything.
Saw it in early 70's at London. Acrylic and London were both new to me.
The artists mother at breakfast, weary, careworn and having a cup of tea.
Just awesome, my favourite artist at his best.
A gorgeous sensation of colour and light
Amazing, magical it is like a movie
The paint has become shimmering light.
Beautiful colours and lovely composition
Lovely loose simple watercolour
